Happy Summer!
The Life Center is proud to provide a nurturing home for young mothers and their children, newborn to age five. Like many organizations, we were faced with COVID challenges, but we believe they are behind us. We are taking all precautions to ensure the health and safety of our residents, volunteers and partners. We see an exciting, fun summer ahead and are always working to improve our facilities and expand our services.
We’re Blessed with Great Partners
We are delighted to have a finished attic, made possible by The Joshua Foundation, which is dedicated to “extending a hand to Children and Teens in need.” Located in Brooksville, The Joshua Foundation’s generous gift was used to repair the attic’s flooring, thus creating extra space for our residents to store their belongings until they’re ready to move into their own homes. The Joshua Foundation also provided funds to improve our boutique, a project that is almost complete. We are so proud of our partnership with The Joshua Foundation and thank them for their tremendous support and generosity.
We’re Making Big Improvements
Our valued donors and community partners have made it possible for The Life Center to undertake various projects to improve the living experience of our residents. We're making significant investments in our property with large-scale actions such as a new septic system, and we sincerely thank Crosspoint Church for its generous donation to that important project. We deeply appreciate all of our loyal supporters’ generous contributions to The Life Center’s mission and future.
Your Donations Make a Difference
With our updated boutique, we now have more space for items needed by our residents. For our kids, we can always use diapers, baby wipes and toddler toothbrushes. For our moms, we need personal hygiene products such as toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo and conditioners, body washes and disposable razors. (No sample or travel sizes, please.) We would be so grateful for any donations you can make!
Join Our Volunteer Team
Since our opening eight years ago, volunteers have the backbone of The Life Center’s success, and we are always seeking to add more to our team. We have a variety of positions and work schedules available. If you would like to volunteer and make a difference in the lives of young women and their children, please contact Carol Barber by phone or text at 850.981.7295.
Until Next Month
The Life Center Newsletter will now be distributed monthly. We want to keep you apprised of our progress as we work to enable young mothers to create new and exciting lives for themselves and their children. We wish you a happy, healthy summer!
