The more things change...

...The More They Stay The Same.

The ability to adapt to change is important to everyone. TLC works to drive continuous change for the betterment of the mothers and children we serve. Our program helps them develop new skills, build confidence, and take on exciting challenges. But the one thing that never changes at TLC is our commitment to the growth and empowerment of our residents, and our delight in sharing what’s new with you.

We’re welcoming new residents.

With several of our moms reaching their goal to live independently, TLC is now vetting new candidates for our program. Focused on women in the 18 to 25 age range, with children 5 years and under, TLC puts a lot of energy into making sure that new residents are a fit for our program. There is no shortage of families in need, and for those that meet our criteria, TLC is where hope and hard work make all the difference.

We’re excited about our new board members.

The continued success of any non-profit organization relies on the infusion of fresh ideas and new strategies for goal attainment. TLC is currently in the process of installing new board members to support our Board Chair’s vision. We are so grateful for the service of all previous board members, whose dedication has made TLC one of Hernando County’s leading providers of care and support for families facing homelessness.

We’re grateful for our new community partners.

TLC receives no government funding, so donations from individuals and organizations are of paramount importance to our ongoing success. This month, we were honored to be selected by Keller Williams Realty (KWR) as a beneficiary of their “Give Where You Live” program. 50 volunteers associated with KWR gave their time, energy and funding to develop new play areas for our children. From surprise fairies perched in our tree house to the creation of whimsical gardens and a dry creek bed, KWR’s work will enchant our littlest residents for years to come.

We’re thankful for your support.

If you have time, we always have chores to be done around TLC and would welcome you to our all-volunteer staff. Or if you have a few extra dollars, your financial donations will go a long way in helping TLC achieve our mission. If you want to help, just visit our website www.LifeCenterofHernando.com.
