Top o’ The Month to You!
The month of March is when green is everywhere. We see it in new leaves on trees, in lush grass coming back to our yards, and of course, in celebration of St. Patrick’s Day. TLC has been blessed in so many ways, and we’re happy to bring you up to date!
Generous Donations from Community Supporters
TLC was the beneficiary of a very substantial donation from The Fraternal Order of Eagles in Weeki Wachee, funds that will directly support the needs of our residents. Additionally, PEO, which provides funding to women interested in pursuing continuing education, presented TLC with a significant donation and informed our residents of grant money available to them if they wish to further their education. Our heartfelt gratitude to both organizations!
Special Days for Special People
Our volunteers, Carolyn Millsaps and Beverly Dow, organize events to celebrate the special events in our residents’ lives. They pull together to make sure birthdays and holidays are always festive. Last month, our moms and children enjoyed a lovely Valentine’s Day with gifts for all, along with birthday parties for our residents. Thanks to Carolyn and Bev for their hard work and generosity!
Our Moms in Action
Our current group of moms is very motivated to work together to provide their children with fun, healthy activities. They are organizing activities, such as walks through our neighborhood and outdoor games on our property. It’s not only good for the little ones, it’s building healthy relationships among our moms. We are very proud of them!
Mark Your Calendar!
On March 12 & 13, TLC will have a booth at ART IN THE PARK, Tom Varn Park in Brooksville. Long-time supporters of TLC, Angela Welsh and Kit Raymond, will be there selling their beautiful handcrafted creations including unique jewelry and home décor items. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to TLC. We hope to see you there, and many thanks to Angela and Kit for representing TLC!
