Fall is Here!

It’s the time of year for pumpkins and candy corn!

Hello Fall!

It’s the time of year for pumpkins and candy corn! At The Life Center, we’re gearing up for all of autumn’s festivities while making sure that our moms and children are learning and growing in a safe, secure home. Here’s what’s happening…

Our Family Is Growing.

With three new babies, two girls and a boy, TLC also happily welcomed some new residents. Their transition from facing homelessness to living in a stable environment takes teamwork. Everyone pitches in to help newcomers settle in and to ensure their success in TLC’s program. We greatly appreciate our residents and staff for their support in welcoming moms and their kids into their new home.

Our Volunteers Make a Big Difference.

Part of TLC’s program focuses on Life Skills in a wide range of areas, including money management, employment, health care, parenting and so much more. Life Skills classes are conducted weekly and are led by volunteers with specific knowledge and expertise. Many thanks to them for their ongoing positive influence on our residents! If you’re interested in joining our all-volunteer team, please contact Carol Barber by phone or text: 850-981-7295.

Our Community Partners Are Critical to Our Success.

TLC is blessed to have strong ties with organizations, both public and private, that share our focus on empowering women to reach their goals. Some of our partners help by way of direct financial contributions, while others provide our residents with affordable child care, health resources, mentoring and many other services. If your organization would like to help those in need, right here in Hernando County, please contact our Executive Director, Barbara Lemoine, by email: Barb_Lemoine@Yahoo.com.

Can You Help Us?

TLC receives no government funding and relies on the generosity of our supporters. As you plan your annual charitable giving, we would be so grateful for your donations. For as little as $10 per month, you can help us provide shelter, food, clothing and other essentials to our moms and their children. To donate, just visit our website: www.LifeCenterofHernando.com.

Thank you for reading. Have an amazing autumn!
