Anna’s Story Part 48

th-1Big excitement around here. TLC got some extra money from somewhere and now they are going to buy some more food and stuff. They asked me what I wanted, but I can’t think of anything. I guess they have been dong a good enough job getting us what we need. I have to stop to think about it, but there is always enough food and laundry soap and toilet paper. Once we ran out of shampoo because we forgot to request it, but they got that pretty fast. We do have to tell the person who shops what we need and if we forget something we don’t get it. I guess she can’t be bothered figuring it out herself. OOPS, that’s my bad attitude showing again. But really it does seem like we have to do everything around here. I have to take care of my own kids all the time with no help, I have to clean and cook and do the laundry and wash dishes and mop the floor and take out the trash and even scrub the toilet. I never see the “staff” doing any of this. Isn’t it their shelter? Shouldn’t we get some help with all this work? I am trying hard to be positive, but really I feel overworked. They say all the staff at TLC are volunteers, so why don’t they volunteer to do some housework!
